The problem

We are frequently seeing direct attacks on the side load doors of Ford Transit Custom vans. Thieves may drill or punch through the bodywork at the rear of the door, allowing access to the latch mechanism and the opportunity to open the door and steal its contents.

The solution

Our bespoke internal latch shield provides a triple layer of protection around the most vulnerable area of your factory-fitted side load door latch mechanism.

Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, the shield wraps around to protect the face of the latch mechanism. It secures using the existing latch bolts, meaning there is no drilling or cutting required during installation.

There is no visible change to the outside of your van. A “Shield Fitted” sticker is included should you wish to make potential thieves aware that protection is fitted. We also offer external shield options, ideal for covering previous attack damage or adding further visible security.

Installation

Full step-by-step fitting instructions are supplied. Installation can be carried out yourself, by a local mechanic or van-security specialist.

For added security, always double-lock your van using the remote control. Do not double-lock the vehicle if anybody is inside.
